INKS AND OTHER INFORMATION

The inks we use are job specific. Our giclee prints use pigmented inks and a 7-color inkset (which includes light cyan, light magentaand light black in addition to the normal cyan, magenta, yellow and black). The pigmented inks we use are light fast and fade resistant for over 100 years.

Canvas prints usually require a clear after coating since the image can be scratched. Various methods are used for this depending upon size, amount of protection required or other considerations. Canvas prints also usually need to be stretched. These services are available at an additional charge.

The Quadtone inks are carbon based and should never fade.

Some prints require a dye based inkset that are also fade resistant but only for 10-20 years.

The dye based inks offer a larger color gamut than the pigment based inks.
